Myself and my wife first visited Marcello’s following a recommendation for a Tapas lunch location , and what a recommendation ! The moment we arrived we were greeted by Marisa who was very welcoming and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The tapas was fantastic , every dish we had was great and very tasty and cooked to perfection by Marcelo himself. Throughout our whole lunchtime experience we were treated like ‘friends and family’ and not just like ‘another customer’ by both Marisa and Marcelo who were very attentive throughout our whole visit. So much so that we made a reservation for the following Friday evening, our last night before returning to the UK . Once again we were not disappointed. The service , attention , atmosphere and most definitely the food are second to none . We can not recommend Marcelo’s any higher , please if you are looking for that extra special service and food then most definitely give Marcelo’s a try ……. You will not be disappointed ! We can highly recommend the Potatoes and alioli (the best we’ve ever tasted) , Marcelo’s extra special Bombay potatoes and if like me you love your meat then you can’t beat the Argentinian beef ……. It’s to die for ! We own a home in Lubrin and despite Marcelo’s being a forty minute drive through mountain roads I can honestly say that we will be visiting Marcelo’s probably every time we are over. Just set back a little bit from the main road with attentive and friendly service. We had five different dishes from the menu, all of which were very authentic and exceptionally tasty. Would highly recommend.

Fabulous find, food is super delicious, great variety too,plenty of veggie dishes if anyone's vegetarian. Owners and staff are lovely. Our favourite place to eat on Mojacar Playa.

The food is exceptional at veryy reasonable cost, given the quality. Many dishes have a twist of Asian or.spice which makes for a very tasty meal. This family run restraunt serve you with passion and care that you rarely experience. It's well worth a visit. Ps.we are foodies who appreciate great food.

Hidden gem in Mojacar if you know you know! Wonderful hosts, chilled ambience with delicious food. Tuna dip was delicious, as was the lamb tagine (huge portion) And Prawn rice amazing flavours. If you want to sit inside make sure you book a table. And if your new here the bombay potatoes are unreal

Fabulous meal here, really good fresh tasty food, friendly atmosphere, friendly staff, good prices, good portions as well, highly recommend this restaurant, it's easy to pass as it's set back from the road but worth finding, really enjoyed our evening here, perfecto

Went for dinner last night and could not fault a thing. We did not book and immediately got seated at a table for 4. Had bread to start, followed by the sea bass, and my partner had the lamb tagine. Both came with the regions popular poor potatoes. I have to give a special mention to the lamb which was cooked to perfection. We were so full that we couldn't have dessert. We had a bottle of house red wine which went very well with our food choices. Partner also had a large beer, and the bill was under 60 euros. I have no hesitation in recommending Restaurant Marcelo, and if in the area again, I would definitely return.
